When you get the urge to blindly follow the media’s portrayal’s of random shouts during McCain/Palin rallies, have a look at this to help balance it out. The media has willfully ignored the rage, death threats, and assassination fantasies of the left over the last 8 years of Bush, and they continue to ignore it with the rage over McCain and Palin. If you must, google “Bush Derangement Syndrome” and “Palin Derangement Syndrome.”
When people on the right get out of line, everyone calls them out on it– including leadership on the Right.
When people on the left get out of line? Crickets.
UPDATE: If someone at a McCain rally or sporting event wore an “Obama is a N*****” t-shirt, that would be supremely racist and way out of line, right? Right. Still waiting on the media to tell everyone about this.
UPDATE II: Ha! It took over two hours of comments at Patterico before he had to step in and ask if no one got the satirical nature of his post! (His website’s down as of posting time. I’m sure his server’s being slammed right now.)
