My friend, and longtime gay community photographer, Bill Wilson sent over this photo, which he took this morning, of San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom at Glide Memorial Methodist Church in the Tenderloin neighborhood. Very pleased to see Gavin deploring the direct mail piece with all his boy-king fury.
I didn’t want to get out my Jump to Conclusions mat out too quickly, but would it be wrong to offer up a hearty laugh at the prospect of a “Glide Memorial Methodist Church in the Tenderloin neighborhood” of a gay community? I mean, come on!
Get it? It’s the fault of Fox News. Fox News is the problem. What’s that? I’m sorry, I didn’t hear what you were saying about Obama, Megyn. I was too busy bloviating about the one cable news network that doesn’t bow to our every whim. Lah lah lah lah lah. Obama has been crystal clear in repeatedly saying that he never said what he was recorded as saying, and if he did say it then he obviously didn’t mean that at all. LAH LAH LAH LAH LAH.
No substance, Bill. None.
And watch now as Obama and friends continue to ban any news network that dares ask The One tough questions.
Looks like the Obamatrons looooooooove the grassroots… until someone from the grassroots releasing a video using Obama’s own words against him. Manufactured by Fox? Really? That’s the best you can come up with? I can’t wait to see what life’s like under this regime.
Everyone, take a look at this NYT piece. Don’t you see? There is a movement. There is healing going on, and you too can take part in it! Cast off your hateful bigotry and be willing to vote for a black man! The soon-to-be-former racists in Western Pennsylvania are doing it! It’s clearly the only thing keeping any reasonable person from voting for Obama, and here the NYT chronicles the transformation from worthless racist to useful citizen for begrudging voters like Nick Piroli. McCain and his cronies are quite racist in their assumption that they’ve got the whole of the super-white region locked up. But that’s just because they’re racists. And then there’s the rabble rouser holdovers from a bygone era of racism like Olga Permon who just can’t bring herself to vote for a colored. And she’s representative of all old people, you see. “He scares me,” she says. She is scared because he is black. Anyone who is scared by Obama is scared because he’s black. Got it? “If Obama were white, this would be a landslide around here.” Well that’s it then, lock it up. All we needed was a personal testimony from a folksy union plumber — hear that Joe? this guy knows who’s looking out for him — to tell us just how racist that area is.
So to recap: Murtha was right, the whole area is racist, but those that are in the midst of a cure are voting for Obama. Everybody clear on this? Good.
Really? Digg can’t find more than one story on Redistribution of Wealth? (And an unrelated story, to boot.) Am I misunderestimating its search algorithm or something? I figured it’d be blowing up right about now!
I agree that this case should’ve been thrown out, but not on the grounds any harm from an ineligible candidate is “too vague and its effects too attenuated to confer standing on any and all voters.” Considering such an event would be an egregious violation of the Constitution, I’d say having an ineligible candidate for the Presidency actually take the office would give any voter the grounds to challenge it.
Don’t get the idea that you’re allowed to step up and question me. All that talk about questioning authority and speaking truth to power doesn’t apply when the common man takes over. See, I’m fighting for you. And if you get in my way, you’ll join the quickly expanding group of people under my campaign bus.
